Durham Girls Enjoy Pleasant Country Journey

A mixed party of boys and girls started from Rogers store in the country Tuesday night and drove to Creedmoor where they camped for supper. They took supper at Lyon Hotel and spent several hours there. Durham girls Mamie Page and Lillian Markham were among the party. The trip began at the residence of A. C. Ray and was described as an enjoyable journey.

Oxford Mills appoints R H Lewis as general manager

Mr R H Lewis from Erwin Cotton Mills West Durham becomes general manager of Oxford Cotton Mills replacing J Locke Erwin who moves to head Odell Mill in Concord. Lewis is son of Dr R H Lewis of Raleigh and has spent ten years in the mill business since graduating from the State University. R G Jones will become assistant manager and buyer, moving from East Durham Mills as head buyer.
