E H Bruce longtime foreman in the Receiver office died at 6 30 pm after ten days with pneumonia. Born Hillsboro ND July 10 1860 he leaves two brothers and four sisters. Funeral service by Rev W S Creasy at Trinity Church this afternoon at 2 30 pm, burial in city cemetery. he was an Odd Fellows member.
Mr. T. A. Noel of Durham arrives after a Western journey visiting manufacturers in this area and Middletown Ohio. He travels to Detroit and is expected to return via New York. He is praised as an active pleasant member of the Durham Trade and may bring orders to boost the Leaf Trade. Freeland's offers Heinz pickles in plain fancy mixed varieties.

Fine Hogs Hutchins and Shepherd drove thirty four hogs through the streets yesterday. Ten dressed hogs were at the market house today with supply for market, wiper, beef and mutton. The traders claim a big trade and honest meats with fair dealing will sustain it.
