County court feats tough on whiskey sellers and violators
In a busy session the superior court dealt heavy sentences for selling whiskey and related charges. Jordan Mangum received six months in jail and a $200 fine, while Durham County Liquor Company figures faced road terms and fines. Several defendants skipped bonds, others pleaded guilty, and a murder bill against J B Harris was brought to trial.
