North Carolina Horse Breeders Meet in Raleigh
Prominent horse breeders and most North Carolina owners plan a two day gathering in Raleigh on August 17 and 18 1892 to launch a permanent spring summer and autumn race programme and form a state breeders association. Forty seven horses have been entered with eight starters in some races on two days. The event aims to boost NC horse breeding ahead of the State Fair and will feature generous purses and reduced railroad rates. E H Lee of Raleigh offers information.
