Homicide in Union County Ends in Death

In Union County last Monday Ford confronted Hagler with a drawn knife at his home. Cuthbertson struck Ford with a stick, killing him. Cuthbertson surrendered, claiming the act was to save Hagler. Coroner's investigation was pending.

A Republican mass meeting was held last night to match Moran and Mason of Illinois and Taylor of Ohio. Mr Mason and Mr Taylor discussed the tariff issue as a large crowd listened. The meeting adjourned about one o'clock this morning.
