Automobile Wreck Near West Main Injures Two Men
An afternoon crash on West Main street involving Dr. T. A. Mann and John Pugh left both men with injuries. Pugh suffered a shattered arm and hip bruises with internal injuries, while Mann sustained minor bruises. the axle failure caused the wreck and frightened nearby horses.

Bound Over for Forgery in Durham Case
Sergeant Aldridge captured William Slocum in Durham and brought him to Mebane where he was charged with forging D. A. Baker’s name on a $75 check. Slocum, a Durham resident, was bound over to court under a $300 bond. He is described as a middle aged man with a good reputation. the forgery was described as well executed.
