Bonds Due From Lynchburg and Durham Railroad Project
County commissioners received notice from a Baltimore bonding concern that 30 000 of bonds issued twenty years ago for the Lynchburg and Durham railroad are due. The total issue was 60 000 with half due at twenty years and the rest at thirty. no sinking fund was created. Police news from Cluster Springs Virginia reports a fatal barn fire that burned four year old Stanford Adams to death after he played with matches. In West Durham a boy of twelve wounded his sister Mary Bowen with an allegedly unloaded gun later found loaded. mother warned him, father had loaded to kill a cat, sister hospitalized at Watt's hospital and recovering.

Foster Public School in Person county held a successful term ending Friday March 22. W A Malone led and read the program while Miss Emma Rhew presided at the organ. Students performed songs, recitations, dialogues, a doll drill, tableaus, and a pantomime.
