Insurrection In Duncan Ends After Armed Clash
Sunday night at 7 30 a bombardment in Duncan sparked a deadly confrontation as Francisco Canez known as Chico attacked Deputy Sheriff Sands with a butcher knife and was shot. Felix Ornelas fired from behind a water car with a Winchester as spectators fled. Bert Massey fired a six shooter at the Mexican, who disappeared and is being sought. Chico was wounded, taken to Clifton hospital, with grave prognosis.
