Man Run Down and Killed at Yuma
Ernest Young of Thatcher Arizona was struck and killed by a freight train between Yuma and Dome while walking on the tracks at nine Friday night. Engineer Andy Linder whistled and halted after six cars passed but Young remained on the line. He was mangled and internally hurt, survived initial care including a leg amputation at the county hospital, and died shortly after.
