Police report two Fruitland area residents Ellis Muir aged 19 and Ronald Muir aged 22 collided on a blind curve on a county road south to Al Muir's ranch about 3 miles from Fruitland Store. Time 9:30 a.m. no injuries or citations. road snow packed. Ellis’s car $500 damage, Ronald’s $300–$400.

Traffic violations before Duchesne Justice in 1965
The Duchesne Precinct Justice of the Peace logged the year’s top speeding cases with 96 before Judge Fred Pope. Other counts include 49 improper passing, 41 driving without a license, 19 no safety inspection, 18 drunk driving, 17 public intoxication, 14 bad checks, and smaller totals for larceny, littering, wrong driving side, license revocation or suspension, vagrancy, faulty equipment, loss of vehicle control, reckless driving, following too closely, failing to wear spectacles, grand larceny, fraud, yielding right of way, sharing a license, and fraudulent license use.

Duchesne City Court Sees Varied Violations in 1965
Ten defendants failed to appear as summoned. Judge Pope heard eleven speeding cases, one improper passing, four with no license, one for no safe inspection, two drunken driving, nineteen for public intoxication, two for driving on the wrong side, one reckless driving, five for overtime parking, two for indecent exposure, and three for illegal possession of alcohol. Total precinct fines less city court reached $5,230 for 1965 with city fines at $830.
