E W Schonian Taken By Death In Duchesne
E W Schonian died Tuesday after two years of illness linked to bronchial asthma and a prior flu. Born November 7 1842 in Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1880s, taught music in Denver, married Olien Kriege in 1887, homesteaded on the Blue Bench, and later ran a furniture business. He is survived by his widow Roy a son and a daughter and a sister in San Francisco. burial arrangements pending.

Trucker John Pilling Falls to His Death Near Duchesne
John Pilling is killed when his truck careens over a 65 foot embankment in front of the Hanna schoolhouse while returning empty from a lumber load. He was born 1864 in Salt Lake and had long worked as a contractor with Duchesne to Hanna routes. Survived by his widow, son Roy, four steps, and several siblings. the family and community mourn his loss.

Funeral Rites Held for Dov Chesne and Pilling Burial
Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning for Dov Chesne. The body was later taken to Price for burial in the name plot next to Mrs. Pilling's first husband, leaving one grave space between for Mrs. Pilling. Speakers included Lester Stott Leland Hall and J W Moulton with music by a quartet led by Mrs Max Peterson and others. Orrin Smith sang a solo. Flowers covered the graves at Price and for Arr Pilling and Mr Powell.
