Archdeacon W P Tulley officiated services, and many residents hosted guests from Price, Salt Lake, and Roosevelt as bridge parties and dinners filled the social calendar. The community looked forward to The Trail of 98 at Cozy theater and a June 23 24 program by the Roosevelt band and local talent.

American Ambassador Choate Deals With a Misplaced Remark
At a domestic gathering in London Joseph A. Choate, then American ambassador to the court of St James, was mistaken for a butler by a pompous guest. The man apologized profusely after realizing his error, and Choate replied with a wry quip about if treated differently he would have called him a bansoms cub.
