A crowded Boneta week features dances, garden hail damage, and visits to Duchesne. Neel Fichtkau hospital care in Salt Lake, plus local travel to Ogden and Helper. Mt Emmons hosts birthday parties, quilting bees, fishing trips, and family moves to Salt Lake with many neighbors attending events and trips.
Mr and Mrs George Rogers returned from Green River where they had been visiting since the 24th of July. Several residents attended church in Roosevelt. Mrs Lilian Griffis and daughter Elva visited her mother in Vernal. Wallen the government inheritance examiner arrived at Ft Duchesne with Miss Leonard to inspect heirship cases. J H Brett, formerly lease clerk, transferred to North Dakota. LeRoy Taylor resigns as property clerk. a new appointee has not yet arrived. Mr Louis Nace bought a new Chrysler coach, trading in a Dodge. Mrs Grass and Mrs Gross with sisters from Iowa attended services in Roosevelt.
Grace Brackenbury and Misa Neva Woodard hosted a lawn party with games and late refreshments. Virgil Mecham hosted visitors from near Roosevelt and others attended weekend events with neighbors and friends.
A farewell gathering was held for Mrs Myrtice Thomas in Bluebell with family visiting from Salt Lake and Oakland. Thomas planned to return to Oakland California after visiting her mother Mrs Blanchard and sister Mrs Hancock. Roosevelt child opera- tion ongoing and water shortages reported in eastern Colorado affecting crops.
Residents report an extended absence for an outing. An additional car is added to Bluebell's number. Mrs. R. A. Murray’s sons gave her a car during a recent visit. Mr. Murray accompanied her home to bring it in. Mrs. Murray is learning to drive. Mr. D. H. Conklin of Altonah visited W. B. Woodruff. George Powell lost another cow to likely bloat. Miss Wall of Altonah visited relatives. Mrs. Herman Winkler and Mrs. Hancock visited Mrs. Claudiathens north of Bluebell. Otto Jonsen Jr. returned from Park City and Salt Lake. Sr. also came home from Park City. Stockholders in Farmers Ditch work in the mountains to tap another lake for more water. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goodrich and sons enjoyed an outing to Lakefort. the boys swam in the river. Jim Cook, tunnel worker for Farmers Ditch, was home briefly. work progresses.
