Advices from the Army of the Potomac report the right column advancing within three miles of Warrenton and the left to Greenwich village. Warrenton was entered with little opposition, suggesting Rebel retreat. The Manassas Junction railroad and telegraph to Gainesville are intact. In St Marys county Lieut White of the 7th U S colored regt is murdered by Col Southron and his son after a dispute over enslaved men being enlisted. The officer died. the two Southrons escaped.
