A garbled May document references discussions on voting and governance, mentioning governor, justice, and state officials. It appears to describe a political meeting or proclamation with unclear details and numerous transcription errors. Names and places are unreadable, but the piece centers on state authority and a significant decision.
To the readers of the Herald the ownership passes from its current proprietors to editor Patriel Robb a man of editorial experience and esteem in the state. The note explains the change is business driven and promises continued support of Democratic principles without factional influence.
The missive mocks Gen Herron over the Fall of Gen Stoughton and a batch of horses valued at 150 dollars each. It notes Herron could replace a general quickly but horses are costly and irreplaceable, while also commenting on political tensions and press perspectives from several journals.

Mentry at Murfreesboro Gallop captured a rebel train. The pirate Florida was at Barbadoes then sailed. Admiral Wilkes learned of her location before leaving St Thomas.
News briefs report the capture of the schooner Hortense off New Inlet and the Anne White breaking the blockade near the Sawares river.
