A sixteen year old, Frank P. Douglas Jays, died by self inflicted gunshot at his home on West Fourth Street after a day of illness and study troubles. The coroner's inquest found death due to self action. he loaded a squirrel rifle, pressed the trigger with a ramrod, and died instantly.
