News from Newbern details a Chechny led expedition near Washington that clashed with the enemy on Thursday. Lieut. Adams was killed and five were killed before ten captured. a cannon and horses were taken. The report also covers New York comptroller figures, canal receipts, and cold weather across states.
The court discharged the accused amid applause as friends of Mr. Baily celebrated. Reports note ice obstructions on the Delaware and Susquehanna relieved, trains running via the Baltimore and Ohio line.
