The Quarter Sessions open with ceremonies at Green Street Sessions-house before the Lord Mayor and Aldermen. Sheriff Stanley hosts a dinner for Dublin dignitaries at the Rotunda. A mail coach robbery near Ballydavid, Tipperary is reported, with the gang pursued after shots fired at the inn. Address of Tralee officials to Duke of Richmond

The Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, His Grace the Duke of Richmond, arrived in Tralee from Killarney with a reception at the Castle. The Recorder Hon. Justice Day delivered an address by the Provost, Burgesses and Freemen, praising the Duke's constitutional measures and announcing a plan for barracks to ensure peace and order in the county. The Corporation asks to enroll the Duke among its Freemen.

Public Belfast meeting invites worship and celebration

In Belfast on Wednesday the public gathered to praise God for the sovereign’s long life. A dinner at the Donegal Arms with a Ladies ball was planned and bonfires with fireworks were to light the streets. A fatal fall at Stillorgan gate followed by a hospital death was reported from the prior Sunday night incident.

Reports from September 1809 detail Admiral B T and Lieut Gen Count Wachmeister’s forces at Ratan near Unea with a 1500-strong corps. Swedes claim gunboat actions against the enemy near a bridge, heavy losses on both sides, and a cautious pursuit by the flotilla. Kept pace with night reconnaissance and enemy retreats.
