Levees and Audiences Announced at Dublin Castle

Dublin Thursday February 4. There will be levees at the Castle on Sundays until further orders. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant will give audience on Tuesdays and Saturdays from one to four o'clock, and on Thursdays will transact military business at eleven o'clock.

Fire and plunder sweep Irish town in violent raid

A Jan 30 report from Drogheda details a large early morning fire at John Dowd’s handling house in West Street and a warehouse blaze at M Donne’s paper works.
