Extract from Bristol dated 08.25 notes 4000 effective troops in Cuba including 502 Black soldiers, healthy garrison near St frees, Winchester ship captures a Spanish privateer, daily prizes to Jamaica, Vernon porting small warships. Edinburgh report: Dutch in Batavia massacre thousands of Chinese. Cork harbor: fleet sails with 15 sailing warships convoy. Lisburne: Black John Black executed for breaking Dundalk goal aiding escape. Clonmell: Henry Shea gravely wounded by gang near Ballypatrick. Obits and local notices follow, including John Skeffington and Lord Hillsborough deaths, royal appointments, a French priest robbed near Effes-Bridge, and multiple local deaths and ceremonies.
