Rose of the Rock River riverboat offers autumn cruise charm
The Rose, a 100-foot riverboat at Maxson Manor in Oregon, offers two hour trips along the Rock River on a warm autumn Sunday. Paddle wheels, two 90 horsepower Cummins engines, and mid-1800s interior detail recreate a bygone era while cruising in as little as 38 inches of water. Pilot Richard Wiesner notes the paddle wheels are above the hull and no driveshafts are below. See Rose, Page 5.
