Contras seek regional peacekeeping force in Nicaragua
The UPI report says U S backed Contras asked Costa Rica Honduras and Guatemala to establish a United Nations type force to separate sides in Nicaragua and enable new talks. Bosco Matamoros said the move would pave the way for peace talks and they are prepared to lay down arms. The three governments have not yet responded.
