Colombian drug lords offered peace proposal to stop trafficking
Ex Finance Minister Joaquin Vallejo confirmed talks on a peace proposal from drug cartels who offered to discard cocaine trade, destroy weapons and labs, and cooperate with authorities. Officials said a Sunday bus blast that killed seven may be accidental or a cartel hit. Bogota officials later called it an electrical short circuit, not bombing.
