A UPI report on a JAMA study finds most physicians would deceive in select cases to benefit patients or families. Of 211 doctors surveyed, 56 percent would tell an elderly family member about accidental overdose, while about 40 percent would give incomplete or misleading information. Jobless Rate Drops Across Northwestern Illinois in April
Unemployment fell in April across the Rock River Valley with Illinois statewide improving as Charles Sinclair of the Illinois Department of Employment Security notes. Lee County’s rate slipped 1.6 percent from March to April, Ogle and Bureau counties also declined, and nine northwestern counties show a drop from 21,790 last year to 16,610 this year. Nationwide unemployment eased to 5.1 percent, down 0.1 from March.

Field trip to bank vault ends in theft sting
In Jay Florida two Jay Elementary sixth graders, about 20 in the class, allegedly slipped 10100 dollars into their pants during a field trip to a North Carolina National Bank vault. They were charged with second degree grand theft and scheduled for Juvenile Justice Center in Pensacola. The 12 and 13 year olds admitted taking the money.
