Multiple minor crashes reported by the Ogle County Sheriff's Department. At Kilbuck Road Monroe Township Verlen Morthey Jr 17 was not injured after a Ford Ranger struck a deer at 10 p.m. No tickets issued. Other incidents include two separate deer strikes on Route 2 near Oregon and Grand Detour with no injuries and no tickets. A two car crash on Route 64 near Mount Morris injures no one. Scott Zittle 19 of Leaf River involved. An Oregon man 35 northbound on River Road River Road Rockvale Township avoided injury after a deer crossing. A Dixon woman treated after car left pavement and rolled on Ridge Road Pine Creek Township. A Forreston woman injured June 8 when car went into a ditch on White Oak Road. A van collision with railroad and road signs on N Route 64 after swerving to avoid a propane truck. no serious injuries reported.
Dickson Mayor James Dixon and Police Chief Robert Short examine a Dickson Dickson officer uniform. Short sent insignias to the Dickson Siberia counterpart after the mayor's sister city visit earlier this month. Court date 1 p.m. July 14. Melvin E. Reigle, 40 Mount Morris, cited Thursday at 3 p.m. for failure to appear on a Winnebago County warrant. Released on 500 dollar bond. Also noted are two birthday references for Christopher Ross, 9, and Floyd C. Bennett Sr., 77, today.
