Auto breaks in half after crash near Amboy Sunday

David J. Koch, 19, of Amboy, drove north on Maples Road when he left the east side, crossed the center line, and struck an embankment and tree. The 1989 Dodge Daytona split in two, fire ensued, Koch was thrown clear, and both he and passenger Douglas North, 19, were hospitalized. Koch in good condition, North treated and released. He was ticketed for improper lane usage.
