Washington releases a 72 minute audio tape of a dogfight over international waters near Libya in which two Libyan MiGs are shot down by Navy F-14s. The pilots discuss targeting and missiles as Libyan planes are downed and the crew briefs officials on the incident.

NI Gas officials say a seven dial reading on Walton Elevator caused a December bill of 683 thousand dollars instead of 8 dollars. The elevator, dry grain with gas off since October, would normally be about 22 thousand dollars monthly. A misread meter added a million therms, then a hand generated bill was entered into the system. A corrected bill for 8 dollars is being sent to Tom and Sheila Drew.
