Route 2 crash claims 8 year old Amanda Ridge
A two car crash on Illinois Route 2 near the Lee Whiteside line killed 8 year old Amanda Sue Ridge of Sterling and injured four others. Melinda Maldonado, 19, was in serious condition after the icy patch collision with Richard Saunders, 62, of Dixon. Ruth and Delbert Saunders, both from Dixon, suffered injuries and were treated.
