Dixon eyes major retail project in downtown within a year

Mayor James Dix, David Ames, and Linda Brantley led a brainstorming session with downtown consultant Nik Trkla to plan a major retail development in Dixon. They cited two to three viable sites along the river and near the old Elks Club and Commerce Towers, aiming for a retail anchor plus smaller shops to revitalize the core. Brantley will attend a Orlando seminar on downtown revival next week.

Alaska Declares Northwest Arctic Disaster Area
