Thomas Densmore of Sterling, a former Dixon street commissioner and teacher, was named to the Sauk Valley Community College Board replacing Edie Peterson. He was chosen from four candidates by a five to one vote, with Joe McDonald opposing. Peterson received a honoring resolution for over three years of service.
