A New Method of Growing Corn
Mr. J S Winter of Montgomery Alabama reports experiments on corn growing. He explains rows fourteen feet apart with one foot in the drill yielding 3 640 stalks per acre. A subsequent trial planted twenty acres in twelve foot rows with one foot in the drill doubled the best past yields, attributing gains to greater light and air exposure.
