A fragment lists trains going south and north with times for passenger and freight services. It mentions Amboy and various times such as 11:04 a m and 5:57 p m and notes an early morning 4:49 a m entry.
Round Trip tickets to Elgin races are limited to June ninth at one and one third fare. Local notices warn of malaria germs, new grinding facilities at Wingert’s stone elevator, and a suite of business ads from Dixon area firms. Memorial Day post office hours and numerous local events fill the community page with civic notices and upcoming happenings.
May 30 observance announced for Dixon Post No. 299 G A R with Grand Marshal Latimer. Citizens asked to close shops 2 to 5 pm. flowers sought and to be delivered by 10 am. Parade forms at 1 35 pm, proceeding to court house square for exercises, then Oak Wood Cemetery. Also notices on rail fare sales and a Sarsaparilla ad and carpets for sale.

Crockery and Chamber Toilet Sets at Keyes'. Grain and stock trading and feed ground at stone elevator. Ice delivery and orders at Geo. D. Laing. Weigle markets ice season and offers prompt service. Griggs glycerine salve cures for cuts burns and skin eruptions guaranteed or money back 25 cents, sold by Horton.
The Chicago and North Western Railway announces a series of cheap land excursions to settlements in Iowa Dakota Minnesota and Nebraska. Tickets from principal stations are one fare round trip good for return within thirty days. Inquiries to C N W agents or E P Wilson Chicago.
