Tragic Epileptic Death Near Oregon and Local Notices
Daniel Webster aged twenty two from near Oregon in Ogle County died in a strange accident while working. He leaned over a log to bathe his head, fell unconscious, and was found dead with his face and feet in water. Rev. W. F. Small resigns as Dixon Universalist pastor effective October 14, amid salary disputes. Dixon prepares for camp meetings, artesian water proposal, and a large fire scare on Galena street. The paper also lists extensive Dixon High School alumni from 1864 to 1889 with current addresses and occupations.
