Dreadful Dixon crowding accident and river tragedy
The Dixon area recounts a near disaster when a crowd gathered as chairs blocked aisles and a tower threatened to topple. Separate items report a new Peoria and Northern Railway charter, canal politics, fish pond plans, a fatal self harm case, and a Dixon community death toll including Electa Lewis and two children, with detailed tributes and funeral notices.
