SEVERAL CASESFILED IN COURTAnswer Filed In Cab CompanyAction; Youth Sues Railway Company For $10,000; Alimony SuitAn answer was filed in municipal court thi* morning in the action of G. E, Hutchens, administrator of the ©state of W, W, Peeler, against Fray Ward and the Blue Bird Cab company, incorporated, in which the defendants deny negligence and liability in the accident which resulted in the death of the intestate.Ward was the driver of a cab which struck Mr. Peeler, fatally injuring him, on North Mainstreet last September 30.The answer avers that Mr.Peeler was struck after he negligently walked into the cab that was proceeding down Main street at a slow rate of speed.Darrell Sechreet, 11-year-old High Point youth, brought suit today against the High Point, Randleman, Asheboro and Southern Railway company for $10.-000 for personal Injuries alleged ly suffered when the plaintiff Jumped from a 30-foot trestle. The boy was walking across the trestle and was forced to jump when a train approached, the complaint states.Mrs. Ruby Bailey, of this city, filed an action for alimony this morning against her husband, Arthur B. Bailey.The complaint alleges that the couple were married in Danville, Va., In November, 1934. Since September 14. 1936, the complaint alleges, the defendant has neglected and refused to contribute to the support of the wifeand two small children born to the union.The complaint asks for sup-nort of the plaintiff and her dren and for alimony pendente Ilte.Jf. L. Grubb, trading as the South Side Lumber company, Mled suit against C, C. Edwards alleging a breach of contract and 'allure to pay for good® sold and delivered.The plaintiff asks for a Judgment of $189.64 for goods sold and delivered and for $179 43 indamages for a breach of contract.
