Louisa Coleman Laid to Rest
Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa M. Coleman 34 of Talmage were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from Eversole Mortuary with Rev. Robert Ray of the Pentecostal church officiating. Interment followed at Ukiah cemetery. She is survived by husband Cecil H. Coleman and 11 year old son Billy of Talmage, along with siblings Otto Gielow Bertha Serltchfield Minnie Sweeney Lydia Schafer and Emma Wallington and her mother Elizabeth Gielow of Talmage. She was a native of Sahin Minnesota and had lived in California 25 years. She died Thursday October 26 at 5:30 p.m. after a long illness.

Ukiah fire department responded twice this week to fires on North Main and Ford streets. A blaze from electrical equipment at Walter Brown’s cold storage plant, leased to Kraft Phenix Cheese, caused about 1.4 million dollars in damage to the ceiling sawdust, but cheese products were saved. A separate grain fire along Ford street was controlled at 5 45 p m Wednesday with minimal damage.

Testimony Heard In Damage Suit In Willits Collision
In the 40000 damage suit of Gertrude Steving widow of Wilbur Steving against Vito Bologna Consolidated Fisheries testimony has been heard in Superior Court since Monday. The jury was impaneled after 2 PM Monday and the eighth witness for the plaintiff took the stand at 9:30 Thursday morning. The case is expected to go to the jury Saturday or Monday. The complaint charges Wilbur Steving died in a collision between his car and a fish truck nine miles south of Willits on the Redwood highway.
