Four Mendosa Brothers Struck by Tainted Shrimp Meal
Four Mendosa brothers fell ill after eating canned shrimp Monday night. Will, John, and Joe suffered cramps while Alex treated them before also becoming sick. Dr Preston and assistant staff aided all four until transporting them to Fort Bragg hospital, where they improved and returned home by Friday morning.

Albion Railroad Brakeman Killed Near Camp Fiftees
Albion, November 30. Al Cunningham, a brakeman for the Albion railroad, was killed this afternoon in an accident near Camp 15. He had worked here eight years and was well known and liked. Survived by his wife and a son about 17.

Deputy Sheriff Seeks Wanted Man in Fort Bragg Case
Deputy Sheriff Ward Ries of Fort Bragg was en route to San Francisco to find Len Edwards, wanted for passing numerous bad checks. Edwards, employed by Union Lumber Co. at Fort Bragg, deposited ten dollars, built a pass book, then cashed a $50 check and three more for $25 with several men before leaving for San Francisco. Ries returned to Ukiah Wednesday unable to locate Edwards.

D J Collier Answers Deaths Gall Tuesday
David J Collier Ukiah's respected citizen died in the city last Tuesday night from paralysis. The funeral was held yesterday with a large crowd attending. Born November 5 1845 in Missouri he came to California in 1863 and later settled in Lake County and Ukiah. He leaves six children and two sisters. He once drove stage between Petaluma and Santa Rosa and helped sow wheat on the land where Santa Rosa's courthouse now stands.

Bloom case ends in non suit after short trial
In Superior Court Judge White presided as Bloom sought 10000 damages from Allen and Doxsie for injuries as a stage passenger between Fort Bragg and Point Arena. The November 23 1918 accident occurred when Bloom was crushed between the stage and a bank while passengers helped remove a road slide. A motion for non suit was granted and the case dismissed.

Steamer Lindauer Refloated After Grounding at Albion
The steamer G. C. Lindauer was taken off the rocks at Albion by the Sea Queen tug from San Francisco with Capt. Beck as pilot. The hull showed no serious damage though the tail shaft was sprung, making the propeller unusable. Lumber cargo remained aboard and will be transferred to the Pasadena in San Francisco for shipment south.
