Dr. Phillip J. Shenon was named assistant professor of geology at the Montana State School of Mines in Butte, succeeding John T. McCormick. Frank B Felt longtime mining figure dies in Barrett hospital
Frank B Felt a prominent county mining man and early Elkhorn springs developer died Sunday morning at Barrett hospital after a period of illness. Born February 12, 1853 in Beloit Wisconsin, Felt built mining interests in Elkhorn and Idaho, helped establish Elkhorn springs, and supported community ventures. He leaves a widow a brother a sister and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at the Masonic hall and his remains shipped to Portland for cremation with Mrs Felt and Kenneth Felt accompanying.

George R. Baker was named adjutant of Beaverhead post of the American Legion succeeding Bruce Risley who joined the state examiner at Helena. The post met for the first time since last June and organized for the winter. Risley was also a Dillon Country Club member. Baker also took Risley’s deputy county assessor post.
