Little Hennie's Wild Run on the Chicago Cable

A Chicago boy Henry Altenberg tied a rope to his waist and dangled a paper into the Madison street cable tunnel. The slip of air and the moving rope drew him along the street in a wild run from Leavitt to Robey, pursued by alarmed bystanders until an officer cut the rope. He was arrested then released, and returned home unharmed despite the dangerous stunt.
