Lemhi County Considers Old Time Fair and Bridge Plans

A special Lemhi county meeting at the Shenon house discusses an old time county fair with races this fall. Committees will secure exhibits and arrange buildings and corrals. County commissioners work on a new Salmon river bridge and waterworks. Tim Dore returns from Sitka sick. Dr. Witherell and family depart for Mt. Pleasant Tennessee for six weeks.

Local meeting planned and fair premium notices issued

Cabees reports a promising start with plans for an order and a first meeting set for Monday the 6th. Dillon Fair and Racing Association premium lists will go out next week. If not received in ten days, contact secretary B N Stevenson in Dillon Montana. Scott and Decker of Red Rock alerted Under Sheriff Smith about two men named Kelly and Ryan who borrowed a rig, were found in the valley, paid for it, and were released for lack of evidence.

Opening of Conference Year at the Church

Next Sunday marks the conference year opening after a two Sunday church closure due to the pastor's absence. Mr Cattermole will preach in the morning on What I Saw and Heard at Conference and in the evening on Killing in Order to Save. Miss Millie Coffin, just returned from the East, will lead the Epworth League service.

Wanted for murder nabbed after high‑speed pursuit

Under Sheriff William Smith and Chief of Police Phillips captured John Hambell alias Bob Childers alias Bob Grant, sought for four murders in Oregon. Luke Livingston of Grant County offered $400 for the arrest. the suspect is jailed in the county jail and identified by Oregon authorities.
