Wm Brown and Benj J Cornelius made homestead entries near Wisdom. Nelson Wadams made final proof on his desert entry near Alice. Chas E Crafford made homestead entry near Jackson P O. The following parties took out final citizenship papers town: Edward Mooney James McKenzie Joseph Van Sah Antone Erhardt Eugene Wolf Lars J Levanson Nels Smithh James Smallhorn Henry Fitter. Marriage license was issued October 26 to Ira Davis of Virginia City and Miss Mable Patterson of Phillipsburg Montana. Taxes will be delinquent on the first Monday in December at 6 p.m. unless paid prior. A 10 percent penalty will be added to the amount. Payment location is the treasurer's office in the courthouse Dillon Montana. J G Snaxxon is the county treasurer.

Early reports claimed a drowned peddler in the Jefferson river matched his description but were later deemed unlikely. Sheriff Haines of Madison county is to be consulted.
