About 200 people from Dillon joined the Beaverhead Roosevelt club excursion to Lima for a big Republican rally. Speakers included John R. Grice Hon B F White and L J Price with the Lima Cecilian quartet and a full hall of supporters. The program featured speeches on national affairs and party unity followed by a late night dance before the 2 am return train.

Mrs. O Connell Dies After Turpentine Drunken Death
Mrs James O Connell of Wisdom Big Hole basin died Thursday night after drinking four ounces of turpentine. She had been ill for six months and became mentally unbalanced. Her funeral was held Sunday in Wisdom with burial in the Wisdom cemetery. She leaves James O Connell and eight children.

Death seals life of Dillon resident Charles Scott
Charles Scott, longtime Dillon resident, died recently after living in the city for three years. He served his country in the military and was married on December 31, 1863 to Tulie Burkholder. Survived by wife and three children Charles, John E Scott, and Mrs E B Call, all residents of Dillon. He was remembered as a devoted husband and honest, patriotic citizen.
