Yost and King Bound Over for District Court
Charles Yost and George King are bound over to the district court on $500 each after a counterfeit five dollar gold piece was used at Truax Hotel in Lima. Sheep herder Wim Mathewson identified the forgery and re-arrested the pair for robbing him. preliminary trial before Justice Rich adjourned Monday.

The Beaverhead County Teachers Institute opened Monday at the Normal College building with 36 teachers in attendance. Miss Estella Mae Rich organized an excellent program with instructors from Montana State Normal College and Beaverhead High School. Dr H H Swain, W C Bagley, C R Squire, J E Monroe, Ezra Allen, W C Ruediger, and Miss Elisabeth Hawley led sessions on education principles and Montana history, with a notable afternoon lecture on teaching as an art.

The Beaverhead county teachers institute featured lectures by Prof W C Ruediger on English in the upper grades and mathematical geography and by Prof Ezra Allen on Nature Study. Reservoir work completes season at Essler Lake
S A Banning, in town from the Rattlesnake Reservoir company, says the dam was raised about eighty feet this fall and nearly reaches the cabin side. The season is done, two men remain briefly, and the waste way and valve will be cemented next year. The reservoir now holds water to benefit crop yields for owners in the concern.

Union Thanksgiving Services at Local Churches
A union Thanksgiving service was held yesterday at 10 30 AM at the Methodist Episcopal church. Rev Wm Kemington of the Baptist church gave the sermon, Rev A A Luce opened with scripture, and Dr A B Martin offered the invocation and benediction. The combined choir featured members from three churches and Mrs F M Thomas played the organ. A generous offering was collected for the needy and split among the church auxiliaries.

Death by self inflicted morphine overdose at Redrock
Coroner’s jury in Bedrock found Frank H. Cleghorn died from an overdose of morphine administered by his own hand. He was about 35 to 40, had spent funds in Salmon City during a campaign, was found in a bunk house, and his body was buried at Mountain View cemetery in Dillon after his mother authorized the burial.
