Little Jim and Mary Aiding a Confederate Soldier Story
A Civil War wartime vignette follows Little Jim a young Union sergeant shot on a Virginia road and cared for by a loving woman and her two children. She protects him during a siege and later helps him meet his fate with dignity as soldiers on both sides honor the act. The tale concludes with gratitude from the family and the soldier’s postwar recovery and prosperity.
