Rocurster Montana reports Mat Kaw of this place and Minnie Chinn of Glendale wed at Butte last Thursday. Kaw drives for A J Dorland and is well liked. Mrs Kaw is a popular Glendale young woman. They plan to live here and wish a long, happy life.

George Linkersdorfer died of heart disease and was found in his bed in Bannack. An inquest heard he had a long history of heart trouble and fainting spells. He was buried in Bannack cemetery by Bannack lodge A F and A M. He left two brothers and a sister.

Court Opens Long Civil Term With Two Criminal Trials

The fall term begins Monday with Judge Parker presiding. Only two criminal cases proceed to trial, including assault charges against John Watson and Frank Burton. Beaverhead County High School Dedication in Dillon

A dedication program for the Beaverhead County High School building will be held in Dillon next Friday evening. Prof. Craig of the State University and Prof. Orsig of Missoula are expected speakers, with Emerson Hill also giving remarks. Student music and a post program reception for Beaverhead county citizens are planned.

Pioneer William Driscoll Dies After Illness in Twin Bridges

William Driscoll a Beaverhead and Madison county mining man died at his mother's home in Twin Bridges from dropsy and was buried in Mountain View cemetery Dillon. Born September 28 1846 in New York he served as a private in Troop D First U S Cavalry and fought with honor during Indian troubles. He leaves a mother two brothers Ed and Jerry in Twin Bridges and sister Mrs N N Beaty. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon led by Rev R P Smith.

Madison County Pioneer H. S. Gilbert Dies in Wagon Accident

H S Gilbert longtime Madison County resident and former mayor of Virginia City dies after a wagon overturn on a slippery road. He leaves a widow Margaret McMunn and fifteen children, with fourteen remaining. Gilbert also served as county treasurer and assessor.

The Convicts Daughter at Dillon Theatre Delights Audience

Last Friday evening the comedy drama The Convicts Daughter was staged at the Dillon Theatre. The performance featured a strong company and well sustained leading roles with clever acting in the Convict and his Daughter. Applause came for the cabin scene and the show was praised as the best Dillon has seen in years, promising packed houses for future engagements if repeated.
