Les Lions Share Of The County Offices In Beaverhead
Beaverhead county held a quiet election with a smaller voter turnout due to a snowstorm and influenza. Republicans swept county offices led by Best for commissioner and Vera Baker for clerk and recorder with reelected sheriffs and attorneys, while Democrats won several positions including representative and treasurer. The state ticket leaned Republican with Walsh and Evans leading locally, and Riddick leading in Congress in the Second Montana district. Cooper led in associate justice race.
