Miner Robert Harvie Dead After Mine Explosion

Robert Harvie died in an October 16 explosion at the Perhaps tunnel in the Comet mine near Elk Point, two miles west of Dillon. His partner George Love was also working nearby and was buried at Bannack. Harvie, about 25, single, originated from Lanarkshire Scotland, migrated to Colorado six months ago and to Montana on July 5. He left behind family across North America and was mourned by a Presbyterian funeral at the grave as Dillon neighbors expressed sympathy.
