Highest cash sale for Bonanza mine in Arizona tops million
The Bonanza mine in the Harqua Hola mountains Arizona near Phoenix fetched over a million dollars marking the highest cash price for a milling property in years. Developed three years ago by Hubbard and Bowers the 20 stamp mill yielded 700000 in 1892 and monthly output rose after increasing to 30 stamps. The mine with oxide iron ore and free gold lies on limestone and quartzite with a 15 to 30 foot vein. The asking price was 1500000 while Standard Oil reportedly paid 1259000 in cash.
