Dr H F Best and Mrs W G Gilbert won the Dillon Country Club spring tournament with a net 32 on nine holes and 58 total, handicap 26, tied with other pairs at 36 on second place. A large 23 foursomes field watched at the ninth hole amid perfect weather, with Johnny Mallon and the grounds crew praised for course condition and two refreshment booths onsite.

May Fete Held Over Two Evenings At Normal College
The annual May fete by Normal college students and training school pupils succeeded despite a heavy downpour that halted the first night. resumed with perfect weather the next evening and featured a colorful parade and dances from children to graduates. Miss Edith Tweedy was crowned Queen of the May with Miss Mary Mullins as maid of honor and attendants named. Large crowds attended both nights amid lively humor and celebratory spirit.
