Local Notes From Twin Bridges And Surrounding Resorts
Miss Gertrude Kirby of Iron Rod was in town on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Chambers toured the county last week. Several residents report improvements, new kitchens, porches, and remodeling work as the town readies for a growing year. Prof. Riley’s plans include Dillon and Butte institutes with a possible Washington invitation, and school enrollment is forecast to surge next year.

Rolling experiments in soil and oats yields and effects
The Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station reports on field rolling effects in ordinary culture. Rolling warms soil, increases surface moisture draw, and speeds germination and yields in oats. It notes kernel size, moisture content, and bushel weights differ between rolled and unrolled plots. Additional notes cover a simple 100 chick brooder and butter fat variation among cows, plus pasture grasses guidance.
